4. Previous our study: SPMODEL 

We have been developing SPMODEL (Takehiro et al., 2002): a series of spectral models in GFD. 

includes F90 interface of ISPACK
ISPACK is a F77 library of Fourier and Legendre transformation (Ishioka, 2002).

Data I/O is performed by using gtool4 F90 library. 
Toyoda et al., (2002)
Data format is gtool4 netCDF convention.

The readability of simple model souce code of SPMODEL can be improved 

SPMODEL will be useful for developing GCM.
