preparation before installing gt4f90io

Introduction

This document explains about the necessary preparation to use the gt4f90io library. There may be situations that some modification becomes necessary though this document is helpful with most UNIX systems.

What is needed for gt4f90io

Following libraries should be necessary for gt4f90io library to work.

• NetCDF (by UCAR UNIDATA)

Of cource, you must have Fortran 90 and C compilers.

NetCDF is available at http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/packages/netcdf/ and mirror site http://www.gfd-dennou.org/arch/ucar/netcdf/.

• If you use netcdf-3.4 and the combination of Linux+FQSfrt, it is nesesarry to use a following patch file.
