Let's try a simple experiment. We will put water into two plastic containers with different blades, and revolve each container to see which one spins the water faster. One of the containers has a cross shaped blade in the middle of its base, and the other has blades arranged around the outside edge of the container. Each container has four same-sized blades. The only difference is the placement of the blades.
