Let's move our discussion to the Pacific Ocean. The Pacific high atmospheric pressure zone always sits above the Pacific Ocean, and a wind blows in a clockwise direction. If the sea's water is blown by this wind, then it will
gather in the middle.
The depth to which the wind has an effect is limited, as we saw in our experiment, so this current is limited to the sea's surface.
Water gathered on the surface by the wind does, however, contribute to the formation of currents at much greater depths, and is the driving force of sea currents such as the Kuroshio and the Gulf Stream.
