|  | Course of the pendulum is changed by effect of
            the earth's rotation. However, the curvature of the
            locus is not visible to the human eye, because the
            pendulumn oscillates with much shorter cycle than the
            earth's rotation. So, its effect on the pendulum with
            a far longer cycle would be much clearer. But
            to make a pendulum with a cycle of one day, we would
            have to  hang a pendulum from the
            moon  let alone the dome of the Pantheon. Instead, let's
            use a rotating table in the laboratory, make the
            length of a day shorter and experiment with
